In the event of a hurricane or other disaster, Brevard County Animal
Control encourages pet owners to take your pets with you.
County Animal Shelters Boarding:
All county Animal Shelters will be open, unless ordered evacuated,
and will receive pets on an Emergency basis. Call the following
numbers for information concerning pet sheltering during a disaster:

In the event that all shelters are full, the Melbourne Greyhound
Park at 1100 N. Wickham Road Melbourne, has volunteered its facility
